Bed and Breakfast
After we went to see the Cliffs of Moher we had to find a place to sleep. We checked Airbnb, but at this time of the year it is really expensive and there are not many options to choose from, as most places are booked out. So we did it old-school and asked the local bed and breakfasts. You can recognize if a B&B is booked out or not by their vacancy signs. We applied at a B&B that had vacancies, but not enough for us, but the woman was so kind to ask her friend. And that’s how ladies and gentlemen we ended up on a nice farm on the countryside. My bed was in the attic and could see the stars very clearly, as there was no light pollution so far away from the cities. The room belonged the host’s son and she is letting students rent it from time to time. In the morning you can hear the cows and smell the smoke from the burning wood. Why there is wood burning you ask? Because our host is preparing the breakfast! It was a typical irish breakfast with ham, sausages and fried eggs. The special thing about irish breakfast is the black and white pudding. It’s kinda like a sausage, but with grains, while the black pudding has blood with it and the white not. Our host was very kind and hospitable. After the breakfast we went outside and played with the dogs and looked at the calfs. It was good experience.
