Dublin Pride Parade 2019

June 29th, 2019 – One of the biggest events Dublin has to offer takes place in the city centre. The festival celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer(LGBTQ) life in Ireland. The festival culminates in a pride parade which is held annually on the last Saturday in June. It’s also a march to protest the inequalities that still exist in Irish society and the even greater oppression and persecution that LGBTQ+ people experience across the globe. Since I have never been to a pride parade, I find it amazing how big companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft have been sponsoring this. It was quite entertaining to watch and very peaceful.
