National Museum of Ireland – Natural History
Not far away from Trinity College you can find three buildings of the National Museum of Ireland. Those are Natural History, Archeology and the National Gallery. So you can visit three museums at once and the best thing is they are completely free! They are very interesting. Natural History shows you a great selection of well preserved animals in two floors. Among them are giant skeletons of earths biggest mammals. I could basically spend the whole day reading all the information of ecology and evolution. Right next to the museum is the National Gallery where you can examine famous paintings from artists like Pablo Picasso. If you are not an art fan, but want to know more about vikings, swords and the medieval times then I recommend the Archeology museum. You can see a variety of excavated weapons and trinkets. They have an entire section just for the viking history. All in all these are nice places to be in Dublin. I wouldn’t want to miss it if I were you.
